Found my mother's journals a week ago that she wrote when she moved from Vietnam to New York. I've automated them to tweet at: @IfYouKnowAn
These are the words of my mother, An. I have selected sections that I believe are beautiful. -Ken
Flight at 11am tomorrow. Vietnam, hear I come! #Vietnam #JFK #NYC
@IfYouKnowKen Crazy! Can't believe your being so reckless! Wish I could come with you.
I made it! I'm IN VIETNAM! Noi Bai International Airport!
Waiting for my luggage, just one dufflebag. I Guess I'll ask a cab driver to take me to a hotel? They're all working for eachother, right?
I've found a travel agency! Or they found me! A man approached me on the street and told me they could arrange a tour for me! Lucky Dog!
Waiting in a coffee shop for my driver to pick me up! What incredible luck finding a tour company. It was expensive but they were so nice!
Really bad feeling. I don't think the driver is coming. Maybe he got sick? Or his car crashed? I don't know what to do. This was all a terrible idea.
And I am running low on funds…
